Location
Tomahawk Tipis are located in the centre of the English Lake District, over Kirkstone Pass nestled in the Dovedale valley alongside Brotherswater. The tipis are found on Sykeside Camping Park, surrounded by stunning views of Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield.
With such a central location in the Lake District, you can have easy access to the fells for walking as well as the lakes for canoeing or sailing. Ullswater and Lake Windermere are only a stones throw away. A short drive south takes you to the attractions around Ambleside and Bowness. Why not take the ferry across Lake Windermere and visit Grizedale Forest? The northern lakes can be accessed via a picturesque drive along Ullswater or up through the middle of the National Park via Grassmere and on to Keswick.
The campsite has full facilities available to campers with Tomahawk Tipis. These include a toilet block complete with showers fitted with razor and power points, as well as a laundry room with dishwashing area. The Brothers Water Inn, located on site, provides a comprehensive menu from breakfast to evening meals with a full range of beers and traditional ales and stunning views across the fells. The Barn End Bar is open during high season. It is a warm lively area and a great place to relax. Meals are available here as well. A well stocked shop is open in high season. Every thing is catered for from fresh milk and bread to camping equipment. Larger supermarkets located in nearby towns.

Direction from the North
At Junction 40 M6 take the A66 westwards towards Keswick. After a quarter of a mile turn down the A592 to Ullswater. Follow the A592 towards Glenridding. At Glenridding continue on the A592 towards Patterdale. Tomahawk Tipis are located at Sykeside Camping Park at Brotherswater Inn approximately 2 miles beyond Patterdale on the right hand side.
Direction from the South
At Junction 36 M6 take the A591 bypassing Kendal and heading for Windermere. At Windermere take the A592 for Kirkstone Pass and Ullswater. Once you have passed over Kirkstone Pass continue down into the valley. Tomahawk Tipis are located at Sykeside Camping Park at Brotherswater Inn on the left hand side.
